Greensboro, North Carolina is home to the oldest continuously running dinner theater in the United States, 鈥淭he Barn Dinner Theater,鈥� where it is rumored actor Robert DeNiro regularly acted before getting fired in the middle of a show. It is where the famed ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) was founded as well as Vick鈥檚 Vapor Rub, and it is the birthplace of legendary short-story writer O Henry.
It was in Greensboro where Brandon Lamberth was born and raised. He showed athletic prowess growing up and it was inevitable that would be a standout basketball player in high school and then again in Junior College in Wilmington, North Carolina. It was at this stage of his life that one of his coaches, a friend of 羞羞视频鈥檚 head basketball coach at the time, introduced Brandon to the King basketball program. Brandon liked what he saw and was 鈥渆xcited to live in a new state.鈥�
He visited King and decided that King would be a great fit for him. What he liked about King were the scenic campus and the small class sizes. 鈥淚 wanted a school where I could have a more intimate relationship with my professors.鈥� The smaller classes and personal attention were conducive to Brandon鈥檚 learning success, and he was able to thrive. 鈥淜ing is a place where you can come if you are looking for a place where you will feel included. It feels like one big family,鈥� Brandon said.
Brandon explains that the transition from high school basketball to college wasn鈥檛 bad, but he had to adjust to the physicality and the speed. 鈥淓veryone is fast,鈥� he said with a laugh. 鈥淭he biggest challenge is effectively moving without the ball.鈥�
As an undergraduate, Brandon studied business management. He is currently pursuing his MBA through King while finishing up his basketball eligibility. After school, he would like to try and play professionally overseas. 鈥淚 would like to play in England or Italy,鈥� Brandon said. After his basketball career, he plans to use the skills acquired in school to join his father鈥檚 construction company. 鈥淲hen I am not in school or playing basketball I work with my dad at his construction company,鈥� Brandon said. 鈥淭hey primarily do construction for commercial properties and other projects like laying fiber optic cable.
鈥淢aybe one day I can take over his company,鈥� Brandon said. Ever since he was a young high school basketball player, Brandon was a man of action. If he wanted something he didn鈥檛 just talk about it or dream about it, he went out and pursued it. It is his preparation and work ethic that has helped him successfully juggle the stresses of college sports, school, and learning the ins and outs of his father鈥檚 company.
